update: Ok, so I took my new lens out for a test this past weekend as my only wide to mid zoom and it rocks! Its great for being able to push the shutterspeed down and not have to worry about that little bit of shake that causes photos to be good, but not tack sharp. I have a wedding coming up at the end of October that will really put the lens to good use – all shot by candle light!!

Today a revolutionary lens came from UPS. Randomly? NOPE! I traded a fellow photographer for my Canon 17-40L for a Canon 17-55IS. Yes, for those of you who shoot Canon you might realize that the 17-55 is a bit of a step down since it is not considered an “L” or pro Canon lens. But let me tell you something…this baby is awesome!! I can’t wait to be able to shoot practically in the dark with it! Check back early next week for some test shots….
